Small quibble: apparently bricklaying (a skilled trade) was taught in Greg and Minerva's school. Would have also killed to see Judith and Tim carting up bricks and mortar to the second floor...

heehee hardly one would ask the srevants to help with that
one!
and i see Tim shirt off hauling those bricks up the back stairs
oh pass the spelling salts and someone sedate Steve!

Except, of course, that I've got it completly wrong!!  That was the line-up of 'CREAM' that I listed....and not 'TRAFFIC' at all....which was Steve Winwood, Chris Wood, and Jim Capaldi!! [6184]

Ahhhh, after a while, all those Englishmen begin to run together!

Patti....I'm sitting here playing my brand new CD copy of "John Barleycorn"....studio headphones are a wonderful thing.

I want to know who was doing Aristede's makeup I have not seen that much eye make-up on anyone ever befpre.  It was scary
I hear ya Birdie! Aristeed is looking more and more like a pre-Goth era Goth...just needed to darken up that hair a bit more and lighten up the face a smidge with some clown white.

Speaking of hair raising experiences, you may recall what's coming in another storyline where one of the sub-plots could have been titled "Race to the Roof of Collinwood" featuring the amazing grow as you watch super-boufant dos of both Michael Stroka and Lara Parker. [haironend]

Heehee i was waiting for you to mention that Castle Bee
there must have been a hair spray shortage then!and his makeup such a Glamour NONO! Tacky!

don't forget when Aristede leaves we always have Bruno!

"John Barleycorn" must die in order to make the whiskey, that's why.

It's a very old folk song about harvesting and threshing barley so that it can be used to make whiskey.  In the mid-1960's the English band TRAFFIC (Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce....if memory serves) recorded their take on the song.  The album is also entitled "John Barleycorn Must Die"

and such a good memory! great band!

jennifer
and Patti just you watch!

Both my parents love watching the show so I tape it for them daily and we watch it at night.  Well, in yesterdays episode when Aristede came running into C.D.T's  studio, my father, (who is 81 now) took one look at Aristede and said , "he looks just like Michael Jackson there!" LOL!!  Now all he needed was the veil and that would be it![egypt]

What was with all that stuff on his face?  He seemed to have an awful amount of make-up on his face yesterday. And couldn't Tate at least given him a napkin to wash some of that dirt off his face??   ::)

Yesterday (after a busy Saturday attending the latest Peace Rally on the Boston Common, followed up with a zine fair at the Mass. College of Art), I had a couch potato morning watching quite a few of the DS episodes that will be broadcast this week on Sci Fi.

One of my favorite moments was a pair of particularly juicy (almost, one might say, orgasmic) screams from Mr. Quentin Collins.

It reminded me of that "classic" ABC TV Movie of the Week, Scream, Pretty Peggy!  Only the title would have to be Scream, Pretty Quentin.  Such a pretty man, such a pretty mouth.

Hail the Lady, for such a snowy day, it sure is WARM in here.

Gothick

I notice it is mostly the younger women who did NOT grow up having to wear them that choose to do so now.

Bob Ross, I used to watch him for the same reason I will sometimes catch Matt and Sheri on HGTV.....watch and wonder just how in hell he landed with a tv show.

If Tate were Bob Ross and wanted another Amanda he could just paint himself a happy little ho who would live right there....by him.  There's an image not even Matt and Sheri would try to incorporate into an over all design.

n

ROTFLMAO![clap]
the guy was a loser!but to paint another
Amanda the thought makes one want to hurl![puke]

Just blame that bizarre archduchess's jewellery-chest known as my mind, Cassandra darling.  One of my favorite pieces of writing is "The Perfect Filmic Apotheosis of Maria Montez," by the late Jack Smith.  He regarded a bit of dialogue from Cobra Woman, "Give me that cobra jewel" (which comes out sound more like "GEEF me that copa-rah chewel") as the most perfect line in American cinema, perhaps even world cinema.  I think that Jack Smith's ideas about movies and culture were the source for the opinions Myra expressed in her classes in Gore Vidal's "classic" Sixties novel, Myra Breckinridge (I'm sure Liz and Julia were reading it behind closed doors at Collinwood in 1968).

I still think it's mega-weird that it looks as if Josette's dress is torn.  And, those colors!  bizarro.  The red chosen for the artist's sig is particularly excruciating.  Mary, turn off those sirens!

Gothick having a difficult Friday

oh Steve darling the weekend is coming! i'm planning on
relaxing and kicking back a few pink drinks! ;D
