57 is not really an old man.

Well given that life expectancy in the U.S. in 1850 was 38.3 years. . .i'd say 57 was probably considered old .. and Ben ancient. . . now as to the other discrepancies. . .pure DS.  But folks often forget that it's only in the last 60-70 years (around 1940) that folks started living on average over 60--

Cass--you're the second person to fall for that particular picture .. .it's good but i dunno. . i have others --from her "Shirley Grayson" years, when she'd was in 20s .. stunning photos.  She probably wasn't a lonely gal if she fixed up like in those photos. . .as to eh piles of makeup. . towards the end of 1840 and into 1840PT . . they took off all they eye makeup and she looks 10 years younger. . .okay maybe 7. . . ;D

Today would've been Grayson Hall's 80th (forgive me for revealing this Miss Hall!) birthday.  In honor of that the Remembering Grayson site was updated to include a few items, including a comprehensive (well as much as we can at this time) Resume of her acting credits.  There are also some rare photos of her (1940s headshots and scenes from The Balcony).  Steve and I put it together, it has been reviewed by her family and can be found at:

Thank you Muse!

Given the **weirdness** that has been coming out of the side of folks mouths this year, i think we should be grateful they are doing anything. . .i really think there was an intention to end it until 1) 2000 people showed up this year and 2) KLS did put JP on the spot,on-stage. .
