"Painting Witrh Bob Ross"  (remember him- the guy on PBS with the wild Afro -on a white guy, yet- and the low whispery voice who used nothing but a palatte knife?)

I believe the grape dish was called Green Grapes Victoria, and I've been trying to locate that recipe for years!  Does anyone out there know the actual recipe Grayson used?

Is this supposed to be a joke or have I just been greatly insulted?

Hmm...reminds me of Grayson, who prided herself as a gourmet chef.  I wonder if the new bio will have any recipes of hers!

I know that there are a lot of NY-based stars who would attend an event like this, and I'm sure that even some of the L.A. bunch would come to NY if they had the chance to do a show.  Why the organizers haven't tried is beyond me- a potential goldmine could be made here.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained!!!

I see it both ways.  Having been at every East Coast DSF since 1984, I come for the stars and fellow fans that have become friends over the years.  To me it's one big family reunion where everyone can let their hair down and have fun.  On the other hand, I easily confess to spending obscene amount of time in the Dealer's Room to add to my already huge collection of DS stuff.  This year I'm simply salivating to get a copy of Grayson's biography!!

I've a bone to pick with those people: on numerous occasions I've asked them via e-mail why they don't have a similiar event here in New York, and they have never answered!!!!

Wait, Buzz- I've never seen the inside of the 1970 cookbook- does it REALLY have pictures inside?  Maybe you're confusing it with the DS Festival Celebrity Cookbook. Here's a behind-the-scenes story- I gave Jim Pierson the idea for the cookbook becuase in my vast collection of DS articles I found recipes from the likes of Nancy Barrett, David Selby and others.  He ran with the idea, and the resulting cookbook was truly fabulous.  A few months ago I had come across a recipe that Virginia Vestoff (Samantha, 1840) gave to a magazine.  Hmm- maybe I should give it to Jim next month and beg him to start a second Festival Cookbook.  Think of the actors who have started coming to the Festivals in the past decade- I can only wonder what culinary delights they know about!

I'm pretty sure MPI will keep the slates for the DVD version of the ealry episodes- If they don't, they'll have a lot of pissed-off fans charging at their gates!!

It goes without saying that the next batch should be Julia/Angelique/Josette.....

You just know she and Big Lou are having a lot of fun 'up there', and both being Southerners, they're probably having mint juleps!
My sympathies to her husband Dick Cavett.
