It's great to see that people remember this topic from last year:
August 23rd - The MOST Celebrated Date In All Of DS History!

Or better still, they remembered this most celebrated anniversary on their own.  [thumb]  [b003]

Okay, I'm a little groggy from my alergy medication this morning but, there has to be a Chris PENnock joke in there somewhere (which, frankly ClaudeNorth, considering your post, I'm surprised you didn't think of - LOL!  ;)).  Perhaps he could be honorary Pen King of the day or something.

The Great Day is over (though the floaties linger), and the Great Pen Party Cleanup has begun, compared with which the cleaning of the Augean stables was a walk in the park.  (If the person who left behind a pair of boxer shorts with "I Got Scrod At The Blue Whale!" on them will PM me his or her address, I'll mail them in a plain brown envelope.)  And now, I just have to ask: has anybody recorded the first sighting of the afghan?

No, no, no, no - the celebration only officially began last night at 7pm ET / 4pm PT when the slideshow for the 23rd's episodes was posted - and it continues until 7pm / 4pm today. So party hearty!!

I can't think of a good PENnock-nock joke - but I have to say I love your new avatar and sig. Puppies (and kids) who grow up with DS ARE better adjusted!  [b003]

And don't worry about quoting yourself. Almost everyone around here has done it at one time or another. Perhaps Midnite and I more than others.  :D

Thanks! I wish I could take credit for the photo of the puppy passed out on the couch but, I found it on cuteoverload.com - it's one of those floating around the web (not unlike THE pen here - hee hee).  I did shoot the one of my dog Nigel with the cheesy grin featured in the signature section though.

In case anyone missed them:

The commemorative graphic (suitable for framing or being made into a T-shirt  ;)):

And the accompanying Filigree Pen floaty:

The celebration may be over, but THE pen will remain forever in our hearts...
