When Vicki disappeared into 1795 during the seance at Collinwood, it was the year 1967, but when she reappeared the next moment, it was 1968. How do you explain this Dark Shadows anomaly?

Vicki's journey into the past altered the present time timeline, making it as if the seance had occured in 1968 instead of 1967.

Vicki's disappearance caused the whole town of Collinsport to disappear from the face of the earth for several months, and then reappear in 1968. No one in Collinwood or Collinsport was aware it was now six months in the future.

The seance was a New Year's Eve event: at 11:59 p.m. Dec. 31, 1967 Vicki disappeared, and at 12:00 a.m. Jan. 1, 1968 she reappeared, explaining why it was suddenly the year 1968 ( Helluva way to spend New Year's Eve!)

The writers of Dark Shadows, who might have benefited from a regular intake of Ginkgo Biloba, JUST PLAIN FORGOT to take that time indiscrepancy into account, all for the sake of keeping the DS date and year the same as the real world's date and year.
