I've had a series of computer problems, fixes, then more problems, this entire year.  I did not poof out of existence.  Dad's old laptop turns out to have a direct route to DSF, important since I deleted my passwords, accidentally, TWICE.  After both it and the backup were intact for many years...  This time, crushing hand pain and a computer virus went at me at the same time, resulting in either a big, overblown, epic, expensively shot victory by me, or else in my going offline for a while, while I again went to the ER twice in one weekend, for the thing the paramedics warned me the ER staff would send me home for, literally torturous (I don't beg for tears for me... it *was* at that level... but the 2nd time at least, an MD saw me, and I got stronger pain pills.  Then it dropped out of emergency level... and is threatening to ramp up, again.  Conscious relaxation is proving useful...

Magnus, I'm so sorry to hear that you went through such a difficult time. I was quite worried about you. We all were. I'm relieved that you are at least getting some relief. I hope that things get better or at least a little bit more manageable. And the board was simply not the same without you. Welcome back.

Magnus, I'm so sorry to hear about all the issues you've been experiencing, but I'm so glad you're back. We've been worried about you and certainly noticed your absence. In fact about two weeks ago I did a Google search for your name because I know you also use it on other sites, but nothing recent came up, so then I really began to get worried. But now you're back and I'm sure we're all relieved to see you. 

Magnus, it's so good to hear from you.  Sorry about all of your problems - hope things work out better.  I've often wondered what became of you, so it's nice to see you here again!!

Magnus Trask, hope you got some answers with your hand pain, besides pain medication. I can relate to both your situations since I have had a completely torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder and a partially torn one in my right shoulder for about a year (one from a fall, and the second from running into a door frame). Physical therapy helped more than anything. I was slated for shoulder surgery, but upon learning how lengthy and painful the recuperation is, I had to bow out since I take care of my mother full-time. Then my seven-year-old laptop finally died six weeks ago, and I've had to get used to a new laptop and a leap from Windows 7 to Windows 11. Nothing like life challenges!
