Maggie's Ring

What do you suppose happened to Maggie's ring after she gave it to Willie and Barnabas confiscated it?

this came up recently in another thread.

[spoiler]after barnabas confiscated maggie's ring he planted it in willie's room when the police were investigating her disappearance so it would look like willie had abducted her.one can assume the police kept the ring during the investigation and then returned it to maggie once it was over.[/spoiler]

what i'd really like to know is what became of those earings that prompted maggie to keep returning to the old house.that was one of the great abandoned plots.

Sigh...yes, it was, alas.  Just like the "Who is Vicki's mom/Betty Hanscomb" plotline--probably THE saddest abandoned plotline on DS--was!  

Yes, the earring plot was the finest abandoned plotline, that prompted Maggie to give one of her best lines, that she'd only go to dine with Joe if there was a resturant that served baby food.
