Congratulations to Amanda; I read Amanda’s first novel, “Smithy,” and thought it was terrific!

I look forward to reading Amanda’s novel, “In The Shadow of The Skull.”

No doubt, both Elizabeth Stoddard and Barnabas Collins have copies of Amanda’s novels in their respective libraries.

Well done, Amanda!!!

Bob

Bob, Amanda's followup novel to Smithy is Webster and it also just came out this month. When she wrote the original story, it was too large and had to be split into 2 volumes.

Thanks, Patrickm. I look forward to also reading that other novel by Amanda as well.

No doubt, they’ll be doing very brisk business at The Olde Collinsport Book Store with everyone in Collinsport wanting to read Amanda’s novels.

They might have to make a trip over to nearby Peyton Place, where the owner of the prestigious Book Gallery, Constance Mckenzie Carson, would have multiple copies on hand.

A DS/Peyton Place cross-over, I love it!

How many residents of Collinwood and Collinsport itself had a copy of Grace Metalious’s controversial novel to read in the privacy of their own homes? Do you think that Liz Stoddard, Roger Collins, Burke Devlin, Sarah Johnson, George Patterson and the Eagle Hill Cemetery caretaker, among many others, had this steamy book to pore over as bedtime reading?

I can only imagine how the original Reverend Trask and Abigail Collins, those two paragons of moral rectitude, would react to “Peyton Place” being read by the good, God-fearing people of Collinsport!  [easter_shocked]

Young Maggie Evans probably would not have a copy of Peyton Place, deeming it to be too risqué. But Young Carolyn Stoddard would definitely have had a copy, with significant pages dog eared and particularly significant scenes highlighted and underlined!

Thank you all for your kind support, and a special thank you to Midnite for the promotional post! [easter_kiss]

It's a huge honor to have my book nominated, and something I never imagined. :)

Let's not forget that PennyDreadful is also nominated, for Best Horror Host and Best Podcast, respectively. Way to go, Penny!

Further, Ansel Faraj's Todd Tarantula starring David Selby is nominated for Best Independent/Streaming Film. Dark Shadows is well-represented in this year's ballot. :)

The e-book of In the Shadow of the Skull will be one of the many titles on sale at the Smashwords store next week as part of the site's annual Read an Ebook Week that runs from March 3 to March 9. If you're interested in reading it, this is a chance to save while doing so.
