I wasn't aware that she appeared on an episode of COLUMBO.  She did appear on Peter Falk's series from the mid-1960s, THE TRIALS OF O'BRIEN.  I believe that he played a detective in that as well, so perhaps that is the show you're looking for?

Also, here is an episode guide that I found for COLUMBO:

That was listed in some official publication of her credits in the 1970s or early 1980s, if I recall correctly, but I have never been able to find her listed for any episode of this series.

That doesn't mean that she might not have had a minor role in one of the shows, as she did on Kojak or, supposedly, Class of '65 (another show where she's not listed in ANY of the episode guides published, and I've checked more than one).

And then we come to Search... Darling, sometimes I swear I hear her laughing whenever I try to track this stuff down!

Good Luck!

Just finished going through "The Columbo Phile: a Casebook" by Mark Dawidziak. It has detailed cast listings for every episode, but, sad to say,  no  Grayson.  :(

It's possible she wasn't credited.  That happens from time to time to actors.   8)

thanks folks.  G was in another Peter Falk show, yes he was a detective in that one too but hubby Sam remembers her on Columbo too and the Search thing is also confirmed by Sam but the explanation of what went wrong there is lost.

Isn't Columbo in the process of being released on DVD?  Perhaps a DS fan who is going through the sets will spot her in it, one of these days.

I once corresponded with a Search fan who was looking for tapes but it is apparently very elusive.  I don't believe it has been aired anywhere since the original broadcast.  I am sure the network vaults have the complete run.

Thanks.  :D  I figured it was about time she was represented on this Board. Thanks also to Midnite for making it happen for me.  :-*

I am collecting the Colombo series.  My husband and I watched the show originally when it was on.  It aired with McCloud and Mcmillan and Wife.  I have never seen Grayson credited or otherwise on Colombo.  I am currently watching the third season and I will keep my eyes peeled.  There is a bonus feature of the short lived "Mrs. Colombo".  I will check that one, too.
