Any info on Vala Clifton?
« on: March 22, 2006, 06:51:11 PM »
Okay Collinwood scholars, a friend of mine was watching the 1795 episodes and became quite curious about Vala Clifton, who played the denizen of the docks, Maude Browning. I wasn't able to find much information on her, anyone here know much about her or her career?  [idontknow]

Thanks
Michael

There's a NY actress named Vala Ciffton who, according to the IMDb, played a femme fatale in a 1965 movie.  A somewhat recent photo of her is at  http://shootingpeople.org/cards/Vala

Screen grabs of Maudie Browning are here:

What do you think?  But the name would have to have been misspelled on DS, and we all know that never happened.  ;)

The nose and cheekbones look similar from what little I can see.  (Perhaps she had some facial enhancement done, my theory.)  Maybe there will be more pix when her website is up and running, though who knows how long she's been announcing it?

It is nice to see that she's found other professions and interests given that, unless she's mostly worked on the stage in the last 37 years, she didn't get to become a well-known actress.
