The Dark Shadows Drinking Game

Okay Shadowphiles.  Grab a bottle of your favorite libation, pull up a chair, put in a DVD and see how DRUNK you get, LOL!   >:D

The Dark Shadows Drinking Game

1.     If the person doing the introduction to the show is male.
2.     If a character mentions "Terror" in any form. (eg "terrifying", "terrible", "terrorized")
3.     If Julia Hoffman can't complete sentences without hesitating or repeating herself.
4.     Any time an actor whose character has died or left the show returns as someone else.
5.     If a character is suddenly replaced by a new actor playing the same part.
6.     If you see the camera.
7.     If you see the microphone.
8.     If there's a blatant shadow of the boom microphone on the walls, or on a character.
9.     If some supposedly solid construct (wall, door frame, etc.) wobbles excessively.
10.   If you see the rubber squeaky bat.
11.   If someone messes up a line in an obvious way.
12.   If a character drinks you should drink to be sociable (drinking blood counts).
13.   If someone threatens another person's life.
14.   If people are referred to by where they live (house by the sea, those who live in the Old House, etc.).
15.   When there are continuity errors (changes in clothes between 2 episodes w/ no change in time, important dates changing between episodes).
16.   When there is bizarre camera movement.
17.   If there are stagehands or shadows of people who aren't supposed to be there.
18.   If a show's in black & white after they've switched to color (i.e. kinoscope).
19.   Anytime someone says "Must"!
20.   Anytime Barnabas searches for the telepromptor.
21.   Anytime someone says "I don't understand"
22.   Anytime someone says "What do you mean?"
23.   Anytime a seance is held.
24.   Anytime Julia gasps.
25.   Anytime Julia puts her hand to her mouth in horror.
26.   Anytime Julia grasps her purse.
27.   Anytime Julia fiddles with her gloves.
28.   Anytime Julia looks skyward before saying her next line.
29.   Anytime Julia hands out or mentions sedatives.
30.   Anytime Julia hypnotizes someone.
31.   Anytime there's a ghost siting.
32.   Anytime a hammer and stake appear before a vampire staking.
33.   Anytime dogs howl.
34.   Anytime a coffin turns out to be empty.
35.   Anytime a Roger Davis character touches his hair.
36.   Whenever a teaser for an episode differs dramatically from the day before's closing.
37.   Whenever Barnabas elongates his words.
38.   Any time it storms at night.
39.   Anytime you hear someone "rustling" around in the woods of Collinwood. (someone sounds like The Great Pumpkin!)

oh my aching liver...i can't wait to play!

perhaps we could get a round going in someone's hotel room at the fest.i'm sure we could get a few actors to join us as well. :-X

I think you could get "socially drunk" just on this one alone.  Toss in a shot of tequila every time you see a perfectly clear shadow of the entire boom mike and it's spider-shaped supporting hardware on a wall, and you wouldn't be feeling too well in the morning.   ;D

That's funny, I was actually WONDERING if there were such a thing as any form of published DS drinking game!   ;D

Then of course there's a much simpler form if you don't have a head for so many rules...a game I call "Drink Along With Roger".  Obvious what the rule is here.  If you're watching the pre-Barnabas episodes especially, you'll be singing "What Do You Do With A Drunken Sailor" in no time.

(For those more daring TV partiers...you can play "Drink Along With Sam Evans".)

On no MT, we had a WHOLE thread about "must".  ;)  Hell, in certain eps you could get blasted by the end credits they say "must" so much.  ;)
