KLS interview with David Henesy in next Fangoria
« on: March 31, 2021, 04:59:13 PM »
KLS promises an "in-depth interview" with David Henesy in the upcoming issue of Fangoria magazine.  Look for it at Barnes & Noble and newstands on April 20.

I don't think I'm cheap, but WHOA!! I'm in Barnes and Noble and I noticed they have the issue but my god, it costs  $19.79!!

True, it might be a nice collectors item. But I think I'll get a coffee in the cafe and read the article in the store...

Yes, they upgraded the paper quality but basically doubled the price. I got a copy online. As for the article, it struck me more as a mini biography written by KLS rather than an "in depth interview."

Yeah, the article is fine as it goes. But I can very easily live without owning it.

The part I found most interesting was how he had done Broadway and toured in Oliver before he even did DS. I'm pretty sure I'd never read that before.

The interview that appeared in Filmfax several years ago was a much more thorough piece. It can probably still be purchased on the secondary market for less than the price of the current issue of Fangoria.

My Barnes and Noble has relaxed its standards enough to allow seating, so I picked up Fangoria and read the article. It's okay. Just okay. It pretty much recaps a lot of what is commonly known, as far as Henesy's acting career. His transition from set construction worker to restaurant worker to manager and owner is less familiar. I also didn't know that he had been married twice. But it's not exactly earth shattering information and I definitely would not have been happy if I had spent $20 on it. Barnes and Noble still had about five copies left, so it doesn't seem to be setting any sales records.

Now you know why I said for the price I could easily live without owning it.

I was in B&N yesterday and they still had three copies of the issue. They had four when I was there over a month ago. So, it wouldn't seem to be flying off of the shelves...
