Bob Cobert Credit
« on: January 02, 2021, 05:56:42 PM »
Did we know that Bob Cobert did the music for the '59-'61 version of The Price Is Right game show hosted by Bill Cullen? If we did, either I completely forgot or it never registered - however, I checked his Wikipedia page and it's not listed. But I was scanning by one of the game show channels and I thought I was seeing things when I saw his credit at the end of the show. I actually watched the next ep just to make sure I wasn't seeing things. But the credit really was there. And what was interesting is that some the music for the show was fairly dramatic. Not at all like what today's version of the show has. But that's our Bob Cobert.  [santa_smiley]

Yup, he also did the 1st Password theme. I think his best was Blockbusters - a very snazzy almost Bossa Nova sound. it looks like we lost Buzzr now from our cable. First Retro, then This, then Decades, then Antenna TV now Buzzr . Sheesh we better not lose ME TV.
