I simply HATE the fact that I can't see your show down here.  "M" is on my list of "Movies One Must See Before Dying!!" and I haven't seen it in ages.

I'm also old enough to have seen John Zacherle's show, which, I think, must have been one of the seminal influences for this kind of production, and I would enjoy the Hell out of a NEW version.

Congratulations.  Stick with it.  Get yourselves syndicated and kindly show up on MY Cable network.

Please?  :D

Too fun and too cool!

What this country needs is a horror host in every broadcast market!

Continued success with the program!

That's absolutely fabulous news!  I always loved "Creature Feature" night that we had on Saturday nights where they showed 3 horror movies in a row, complete with host.

Glad to see it back....Congrats Penny Dreadfull!  Wishing you continued success

Now I wish I could see this too, besides the short clip on the forum a couple of months back.  Around here all that's on public access these days are town meetings, old HS football games, polka parties at the senior center, etc.  Nothing new or original in ages.

Here's hoping that someday you have the opportunity to go national.  (Cue the "Star-Spangled Banner" on theremin...)

PennyDreadful, I think that is FANTASTIC!!! I grew up watching a local horror-hosted show called "Creature Feature," and have always wished that kind of thing was still happening.  Thanks for picking up the tradition, and congratulations on your success!

WTG Penny Dreadful!  Brings me back to the days of Jeepers Creepers and Ghoulita in the Los Angeles local area.  Hopefully word will spread of your show and syndication will come along, and with all the terrible stuff on  cable and regular tv, we could use a witty show that will show some of the old B horror movies.. I got first dibs on your first movie "The crawling eye"!
its a sudden death that i know, my father wrote me to say that, my cousin, uncle jeremiah was, was very disturbed.

It's a great tradition to uphold - these kind of horror host programs go way back, and its high time some local flavor programming was resurrected, as it were.  Way up in Bangor, Maine, we had Eddie Driscoll on WLBZ - TV, who, for thirty-five years, was  a one-man gang of local programming, from Kid's shows, local commercial content and hosting Dialing for Dollars to Hosting "Weird," a fantastic late night horror movie show.  He played a variety of characters on this and other late programs, but basically, as the torch bearers of today's late night movie shows do, he enlivened a lot of marginal horror movies with his fifteen to twenty minutes of horror humor and incredibly inventive (on a low budget) skits.  This man once not only held his own with a visiting Milton Berle, but blew his doors off in an impromptu "laugh-off."  His Crandall, a kind of Zacherly -cum- martian character was priceless.  If you want to know or see more about this local legend, just find the WLBZ website, they are currently carrying several clips featuring Eddie who, sadly, is now an Alzheimer's sufferer.  Kudos to you, Penny Dreadful, and Garou, and Von Bulow, and all the others who are doing their best to save this unique television tradition.  Long May You Run!

Petofi - Thank you!  I hadn't heard of "Crandall" as played by Eddie Driscoll.  You may want to tell George "E-gor" Chastain about him.  He maintains a comprehensive site of horror hosts and Crandall is not included...yet!  Here's his site: http://myweb.wvnet.edu/e-gor/tvhorrorhosts/index.html

Here's one from today's Standard Times with a more direct reference to DS.

http://www.southcoasttoday.com/daily/02-06/02-23-06/01coastin.htm

David, I'll ask our webdesigner Rebecca about that.  She knows loads more about that kind of thing
than I do.

My first post here and I get to congratulate a TV star!!!   ;D

If you ever get a chance to "stream" these shows online, let us know.  Cable access has a maverick charm all its own, love it!
