Gorgeous shot. To me, Virginia was one of the most talented actresses on the show, but I seldom hear fans speaking of her. I think it is because her character is unpopular, and in part that's because she was so incredibly brilliant in putting forward this portrait of a complicated, embittered woman whose emotions were often raw and turbulent. It's so long since I've looked at any 1840 episodes that I have no recollection of those draperies. Such a pretty color, and I love the pattern.
