Nancy Barrett Circa 1972 - The Doctors

[Mysterious Benefactor]

Recently the subject of Nancy Barrett's post-DS role on The Doctors came up on another board, so I decided to share two things of NB during that period from my post-DS collection.

First up, a cover she did for TV by Day -

- who played Dr. Steve Aldrich to NB's Nurse Cathy Ryker...

And I must thank Uncle Roger for bringing up NB on The Doctors because while I was going through my post-DS stuff from 1972 I discovered an NB article that included a photo of her from NoDS that I'd completely forgotten I have and which I've never seen published anywhere else. (It's from one the cottage scenes in the latter part of the film - either the one with Tracy or the deleted one with Alex. I can't narrow it down more because NB is the only one in the photo. If there's a version of it with anyone else, apparently they were cropped out by the magazine.)

I followed Nancy's soap career as best I could. There was a brief role on Somerset that I never saw and there doesn't seem to be a lot of information about it. But through The Doctors, Ryan's Hope and her first role on OLTL, Nancy kept the long Carolyn hair for the duration. It wasn't until her second role as Debra Van Druden on OLTL that she wore her hair differently.
