Collinwood would be choice #1, Blair House #2.

The abandoned mill used by Petofi in 1897, pretty nice digs, I've always been interested in living in a house that wasn't traditionally a house. Love the era, and the coolest people were always just dropping by.

I love both Collinwood and the Old House. Collinwood is the place I would love to explore, but the Old House is the one I would love to own and live in - restored or original in 1795.

I wouldn't mind having the tower room for a bedroom. Nice view. :)

Besides the ones I voted for (Collinwood and the Old House, present day, to which I belatedly add the house by the sea and the old mill), the one I thought of right away that isn't on the list:  Rose Cottage.

The groovy place to live in Collinsport I think would be Roxanne & Sebatian's place. They have the cool lights and I think a table that had a hand on it as well. All the comforts of home that you can get. LOL.

But to seriously answer I would like to live in Collinwood in 1840 so that I could just open a door and see what was going on in parallel time periods.

Adam's hiding place for Carolyn was actually a root cellar.  I found the ruin of one of these while exploring an island in the Boston harbor last Spring with some friends.

There was a fishing shack that wound up going up in flames in 1967; it was meant to be on or adjacent to the estate grounds, I believe.  There was also an abandoned hut near the beach where Angelique kept Barnabas a prisoner for a couple of days in 1968.

OK, no longer talking about places where I'd personally like to live, but here are a couple of pretty spacious - but spooky - homes:

- Dr. Lang's house, where Adam was created

- the bizarre home of painter Charles Delaware Tate

I mentioned Rose Cottage from 1849 ... but what I really loved was Flora Collins' home.  My memory is hazy after only a few years I'm afraid, as in another thread where I mistakenly thought that Daphne Harridge and the children were calling back Quentin, when it was Gerard.  So I'm not sure if Flora's home was Rose Cottage, but I think these were two different places.  I remember something about "the old Magruder place," whence I developed the theory that Flora Collins was born Flora Magruder.  I loved the interiors of that home (didn't Desmond live there, too) but can't remember if we ever saw the exterior.  Does anyone remember seeing the exterior?

It was Rose Cottage and yes, Desmond lived there as well.  ;)  They would show the exterior quite often.

Oh me too!  I LOVED the house they used for The Real World/Boston as it was a restored firehouse.  ;)

What about Angelique's house on Little Windward Island?  I always liked the place--exterior and interior.  Rose Cottage is another good choice, but I had to pick Prof. Stokes' house.  It's so tiny and comfortable looking.
