Ivana Milicevic in new series

CBS picked up "Love Monkey," which stars Ivana Milicevic (the sometimes stunning, sometimes gross-looking Angelique in the 2004 pilot), as a midseason replacement.  The show will premiere on Tuesday, January 17 at 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific.  The series focuses on four single guys, and Ivana plays a friend named Julia.

I can't for the life of me recall what's usually on in that timeslot, which I suppose is the point of replacing it.

Interesting. I've seen several different promos for Love Monkey, but Ivana hasn't been in one of them.  [santa_sad]

Close to Home (co-starring Angel's Christian Kane (even if you don't watch the show, how could you possibly forget him?!  [santa_azn])) was on Tuesdays at 10 before CBS moved it to Fridays at 9.

Ah, thanks!  I've seen a couple of eps and thought Kane's appearances were the only good thing about them.

It's funny - I still haven't been able to spot Ivana in any of the longer promos - but I certainly couldn't miss her in a 10 second teaser that simply features her, Tom Cavanagh and one of the other actors on the show striking poses. If she's important enough to include in a teaser like that, one would think she'd be better showcased in the longer promos.  [scratch]

The show has been getting some favorable buzz, so it'll be interesting to see what it's like come the 17th...

There's a brief closeup of her face in the shot after Judy Greer (Kitty in Arrested Development) is seen talking while dressed in a bright orange coat.

Thanks to your tip, I finally spotted her. And you were right, if I'd blinked, I would have missed her.  [wink2]

I also caught another 10 second teaser. It featured Ivana and Tom simply standing in an elevator with an older man who didn't appear to be a member of the cast. She seems to be being used very oddly in the promotional campaign.  :-

Well, so much for that series:

CBS Breaks Up with 'Love Monkey'
Friday, February 10, 2006   11:00 AM PT

We're not sure if CBS gave "Love Monkey" the It's-not-you-it's-me speech, but we do know that just a few days before Valentine's Day, the network has broken things off with the show.

After just three episodes, none of which brought very strong ratings, "Love Monkey" has been pulled from the schedule. CBS is officially saying the dramedy is "on hiatus," but the network currently has no plans for its return.

Although it drew largely positive reviews, the show, based on a book of the same name by Kyle Smith, struggled to find an audience against the likes of "Law & Order: SVU" and "Boston Legal" on Tuesday nights. It debuted to about 8.6 million viewers on Jan. 17 but fell off in each of its subsequent two airings, dropping to a low of 6.2 million this week.

The unaired eps of Love Monkey are currently airing on VH1 at 9 p.m. and 11 a.m. Eastern:

Ep #6 - "Mything Persons" on Tues. nite 5/2 and Wed. morning 5/3

Ep #7 - "Opportunity Knocks" on Tues. nite 5/9  and Thurs. morning 5/11

Ep #8 - "Coming Out" on Tues. nite 5/16 and Thurs. morning 5/18
