Seeing today's montage (ep 94), I just loved Vicky with Garner... If only....

Would they have married? Wouldn't Victoria Garner make such a wonderful socialite wife? Siiigghh.....if only...

If ONLY they'd completed that plotline...sheesh!  What a disappointing NON ending to what had been a great build-up.  I realize of course that Barnbabas took off like wildfire, but wouldn't it have been interesting to have him help Vicki search for the truth about her parents?  Instead they just completely dropped her search for the truth!  Double sigh....

And yes Patti, I totally agree, Victoria Garner would have sounded so nice.  She at least had some CHEMISTRY w/him, unlike w/Mitch Ryan, Anthony George and Roger Davis, whom she didn't IMHO.  ;)

P.S. Did anyone else notice that the portrait of Betty Hanscomb, which Sam had given to Vicki and she'd taken to Collinwood, ended up back at the Evan's cottage w/no explanation?  It's there in a scene between Nicholas and Maggie (volume 9 of the DVDs).

The character of Betty Hanscomb is never really shown; Vicki sees the sketch of her at the Evan's house when she is there for dinner. Vicki thinks it looks like it could have been a drawing of her, (it is a drawing of Ms Moltke) and asks who it is. Sam tells her that it's a drawing of Betty, that she was the daughter of a former Collin's family employee.

I think most of us keep thiniking that's what it is - forgetting that it's really Conard Fowkes.  It's really tricky.  They look so much alike and who ever heard of a Conard?

Probably a case of a surname being used as a first name.

BTW, Conard Fowkes is very active with Actors' Equity. I think he's still the treasurer. There are photos of him in several spots on their web site. This one was taken in March 2004 -- 3rd row, last photo.

I agree, Frank made a much more plausible boyfriend for Vicki than ANY of the other men with whom the writers involved her.

Criseyde, that's a great snapshot of Conrad F in recent days.  He's aged extremely well.

Vicki and Frank did make a cute couple. Their relationship definitely wasn't explored enough. [ghost_sad]

I would have loved to have seen a Burke/Vicki/Frank triangle. They dropped that idea  apparently, along with resolving Vicki's parentage. [ghost_azn]
