Hmmm, I modified this the other day to change FRANK to RICHARD, and it disappeared.  Below is the new quote.

Announcer: Today on Dark Shadows, due to illness, the part of Richard Garner will be played by Snidely Whiplash!

Select Modify to edit posts rather than Quote.  What was removed looked like a duplicate post but in a quote box.  Sorry, the name difference in the double postings got past me.  (I always compare double posts to look for edits but I also always mix up the Garner names in my head, lol.)

This time, the remaining post will be the one you've changed.   :)

I did click Modify Quote yesterday and it made the duplicate.  Today when I saw that the modified quote was gone, I clicked MQ again, but it said the time had expired or something.  No biggie though, just a *blond* moment on my part.  ;)

Modify and Quote are separate buttons--

  • If you click Modify and it's been less than 120 seconds since the post was submitted or last modified, a window will come that looks just like the one you previously submitted, and the options under it will be Save and Preview.  But if it's been 120 secs. or more, you'll get the error message that says Sorry, you are no longer permitted to modify this post. The time limit has expired.
  • The Quote button will place a quote box around the entire message in a new post, there is no time limit, and your options are Post and Preview.
  • The Reply button, which brings up a blank window, is found above the first post and underneath the last post in the topic.  The options at the bottom are Post and Preview.
