Obituary: Alex Giannini

Despite the fact that the obit features a photo, I have no idea who Mr. Giannini played on DS because I don't really recognize him, but according to the obit he appeared on the show. Unfortunately, his name doesn't seem to appear in the PomPress books...

Does anyone else recognize him?

I tried Google but the only Alex Giannini that I could find is a British actor who died in 2015. Maybe he acted under another name? And it would help if we knew for sure which version of DS he appeared on.

I presumed the obit referred to the original DS, but only because it was mentioned in connection to Death Valley Days and some of the other credits referred to are from the '60s.

I found one other Broadway credit for him, from 1999, something called Not About Nightingales. It had a short run.
The New York Public Library site has a lot of pictures from the 1964 production of Hamlet, obviously because of Richard Burton's involvement. There may be pictures of Giannini among them but he is not identified by name and I couldn't tell if any of the men depicted were him or not. It was interesting that All My Children veteran actress Eileen Herlie played Gertrude.
There is a DVD available of Hamlet but IMDb does not list him as a cast member.

I found the British one who died in 2015 and the "Death Valley Days" one - apparently 2 separate people.  Although the obituary is dated 12/12/18, it also lists his date of death as April 9, 2017.
