What if: Michael Stroka in The Godfather

Obviously, it didn't happen but I just read an item in an old soap magazine from the 1970's that stated that both Michael and Antony Ponzini (the original Vince Wolek on OLTL) had tested for major parts in The Godfather. All actors audition for parts that they don't get but it's fun to wonder which part that he might have played.

Please don't jump down my throat, but I've never actually seen any of The Godfather movies. What role do people think Stroka might have been up for?

And as upset as some of you may be that I've never actually seen any of The Godfather movies, you couldn't possibly be more shocked than a friend of a friend's husband, who's a walking encyclopedia of those movies. He owns, like, every video release that has ever come out - he's watched the movies who knows how many times - and he's even gotten his son to be almost as big of an expert on them as he is. To put it in terms we'd better understand: he as much into The Godfather as many of us are into DS.

If I had to guess, I would say Michael auditioned for Paulie. Without pointing figures about viewing choices, I actually saw The Godfather again at the Flashback Cinema at Epic Theatre last summer and it's still magnificent.
