RIP casper_collins
« on: May 06, 2018, 08:39:49 PM »
Learned some terrible news this afternoon.  Yesterday, DS fan and Forum cousin Henry Peck passed peacefully in Los Angeles from a silent, fast-moving cancer.  Safe journey, my friend.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Henry was a great friend of the Forum, a great person in real life, and a lot of fun to spend time with at Fests. I can only imagine the mischief he'll get up to in his afterlife!!

This is deeply sad news. Henry was a regular back in the vantagenet days and one of the first friends I made in fandom.  He had an amazing sense of humor and wit and will be greatly missed. [ghost_sad]

It's always so sad and tragic when we lose one of our cousins.  RIP casper, and condolences to your family.  We will always love and miss you.

The Unbearable Loss of Mr. Peck 1952- 2018 from LA Beat Magazine

"Oh Henry!" Remembering L.A. Music Scene Pioneer Henry Peck -- LA Weekly, with a vid of his Year of Dred

Henry indeed smiled with his eyes, too.

Thanks so much for the articles, Midnite.  [ghost_smiley]

I wish I'd known that Henry helped to introduce Depeche Mode to LA because, as a huge DP fan, I would have loved to have heard those stories. But then, maybe our paths haven't actually crossed for the last time...

And I love that year of Facebook video. So many of the images are pure Henry!!  [ghost_grin]
