It's a nice touch how they worked in some of the original series' theme music.

I have to say that was neat, a real homage.  It was like how the opening prologue of Deppshadows' soundtrack incorporated the sound of Robert's score from the series.  As they say, imitation is the best form of flattery.  I wish I had Netflix to watch this remake of LIS.  The one thing I would've wanted was to make the Jupiter 2 look like the original.  That ship had an elegance that could not be surpassed.

That is so cool! Bill Mumy played his cards very close to the table. He has posted a lot of stuff about the new show on his Facebook page but never tipped his hat about making an appearance. It's nice to know that some things can still be a surprise!!

Having growing up watching and being an immense fan of LIS, I was almost considering robbing Peter to pay Paul to watch this on my computer on Netflix (a friend was going to tell me how to do this; my TV set is very, very, very old and can't be connected to my computer).  But many of the reviews I've read on-line about this remake were not, shall we say, "favorable."  So I decided to opt out and wait until it starts showing up on-line on things like youtube.  And, for me, I don't care about casting and reassigning characters, such as making Dr. Smith a woman.  What I want to see is the Jupiter 2 still look like the Jupiter 2.
