I came across the obituary for Nelsan Ellis in the newspaper today.  They primarily listed him as from "True Blood" and I only saw the first season of that.  I wasn't going to pay much attention until I noticed that he was Shinwell in Elementary.  I hadn't known the actor's name.  I looked him up on imdb and apparently he was also in a few movies that I've seen.  It's really weird that they killed the character this season and then he ended up dying.  He was only 39!  They said something about the heart.

I thought that was him but no mention of Elementary made me think he just looked a lot like him. His character was killed off (on Elementary).

Elementary is mentioned in quite a few of his obits - but he was hugely popular (and deservedly so) on True Blood, so it's not too much of a surprise to see all the obits focus on that show more.

How odd - it's been removed.

Though it was nothing we didn't already know because it was just mentioning that Natalie Dormer will be back as Moriarty.

Who knows why they removed it? Perhaps because Michael Aussielo already had it in his column last week...
