Mannix has gone back to the beginning of the series.  An older actor seemed very familiar, so I decided to look him up.  The name was David Hurst and the picture on imdb was from Star Trek.  I recognized that, so I looked through the listings and then discovered that he was also Justin Collins on DS  - I had no idea!!

According to Wikipedia, he was also Rudolph the head waiter in Hello, Dolly. He also appeared in The Maltese Bippy, which hopefully gave him a good paycheck.
As of this writing, Mr. Hurst is still with us.
