When I logged in, it DIDN'T tell me I have a message, BUT there was a message box stating:
Helen(e) C has sent you a message;
would you like to accept it?

I clicked on "info", it was an AIM...
First, I don't remember seeing a HelenC on these boards
Also, I come on to DSBoards via Explorer (I still run an older version of Netscape), so if it was a bogus/mailing thing, sorry
(for all I know, Ringo is posing as HelenC )

Was this an Explorer thing or a DSBoards Thing?

I've not set up a mailbox on Explorer.
Of course, I do have one on DS Boards
And,
if HelenC is a "regular" poster/lurker to our boards, sorry I didn't respond...but I'm sure she will send it via regular message

Patti,

There's no HelenC registered on dsboards, and the IM here won't ask you to accept a message (though AIM is coming very soon).  MysteriousB would know more, but I'd guess that your Explorer's Instant Messenger is turned on.
