I'm also - ahem - on the other side of the ball field, too, TEStokes, but I cannot in anyway deny that there is one who straightens me out with absolutely no problem:  TLATKLS.  I would melt if I could ever take her to the prom.

10.. KLS
9. Joan Bennett (Looks and class, always a combo that gets me)
8. Kate Jackson
7. Donna M. (Amanda Harris.  I know she's not on the original list, but I think she's very pretty, esp. in those 1897 outfits)
6. Alexandra V. Moltke
5. Terry Crawford (she has a very angular face that I find attrractive)
4. Diana Millay
3. Nancy B.
2. Lara P.  (maybe it's the character that has me placing her so low)
1. Marie Wallace - I believe she's what might have once been referred to as a "handsome" woman (my wife says if you call a woman handsome you might just as well come out and say she looks like a horse) but I think Wallace is very striking looking (another phrase my wife thinks is a back-handed compliment)

That has happened to me too, Cassandra.  It's because : and D are the code for the toothless smiley, so if they ever appear next to each other in your text (or any of the other smiley codes, for that matter) that's what'll show up.

Here's what you typed, and you can see for yourself that the smiley code is in there--
Code: [Select]
3:Donna Waldry,  2:Diana Milay,
You can click "modify" and insert spaces between each : and D, then "save", or just say the word and I'll fix it for you.

Okay, well this isn't the thrill that the Have a Hunk section was for me.  So, I'll take this opportunity to recall who I most would have wanted to look like when I was a pre-teen/teen and watching for the first time.

10.  Kathryn Leigh Scott (TLATKLS) - [king] I always thought she had the most angelic face and beautiful hair! The perfect heroine.
9. Nancy Barrett - [hello] Another one with great hair...and what young girl doesn't want to be that tiny!
8. Alexandra Moltke - [sssh] Very pretty, meloncoly, great cheekbones...her costumes pretty much reeked though.
7. Lara Parker - [skull] prettier from some angles than others...has an almost skelton head look sometimes. Gorgeous eyes though! [vryevl]
6. Kate Jackson - [angl2] Pretty especially during her very youthful DS time.
5. Joan Bennet - [sleep] I appreciate her beauty more now than when I was younger...she just seemed like someone's mom.
4. Marie Wallace - [smokn] Attractive but had an edge I would not have seen as good back when.
3.  Diana Millay - [sure] She's pretty but seems a little prissy.
2. Terry Crawford - [hdscrt] Pretty eyes, skin and great hair but has long face and kind of witch chin.
1. Donna Wandrey [frkoff] - no, no, no - bad hair cut and I never could forgive her for taking Josette's place.

Once again - this was fun - thanks for adding it VAM!

Hiya, Daphne!  TPTB = The powers that be

It's her opinion and she acknowledged that it was.  If she doesn't like a term for women or anything else but wants to answer the question, I don't understand why she can't express that as politely as she did in her reply.  So please, let's respect each other despite our different opinions instead of making this an issue.

I was merely trying to let VAM know that he did not offend all women on the board.  Reading VAMs message led me to believe that was the assumption.  Now this is my opinion and mine only.

Here are Byron's pics 1 being the best 10 being the least.

1. Lara Parker (This has been discussed at length in the, "Tell Me A story" post).
2. Alexandria Moltke (Warmest smile and pretiest face).
3. Nancy Barrett (Whats not to like???)
4. Blue Whale Dancer from 2nd episode that was doing the little side to side step. (She has no lines but looks good doing what she does).
5. Ruby Tate, (Like my women a little on the trashy side No apologies to Confederate Railroad).
6. Joanna Mills, (Have had dreams about this one that I would rather not go into here. The details may curl your hair).
7. Donna Wandrey, (When she had longer hair).
8. Hazar (Robin Lane also had sex appeal).
9. The Blue Whale Bar maid from 1841, (Again another one who has no lines and really doesnt need any!)
10. Marie Wallace, (Because I have a soft spot for red heads. She reminds me of one of my first girl friends).

if there was an 11th choice TLATKLS would fit there I guess, (sorry Ringo).

I hear ya, J99, and I know you were being supportive of another poster because she seemed offended.  And I told her when she contacted me off the board that I thought it was sweet and thoughtful to post an apology, but my point here was that no offense was ever intended in the first place.

And while I acknowledge that your intention was good and I'm sorry if I've caused you any embarrassment, I also have to go with the Board guidelines on this:

4. If a poster feels wronged, slighted, or offended by another poster, these disagreements should be taken up in private e-mail between the posters. These disagreements may also be brought to the forum moderator, if necessary, but members are strongly encouraged to solve these problems among themselves off-board.

I would have never got sucked into the storyline of the first year of DS if it wasn't for the beauty of Alexandra Moltke. Something about her charm made me want to watch.

1 Alexandra Moltke
2.Kate Jackson
3. KLS
4. Laura Parker
5.Joan Bennet
6. Grayson Hall ( something about her)
7.Nancy Barrett
I must go. However, I shalln't be long.
 Good day everyone!

I'll rate the actresses I've seen.

1. Alexandra Moltke: she has this really bad habit of looking horribly unattractive at times, but she really is the most beautiful woman on the show.
2. Dianna Millay: I just love how she blinked 6 or 7 times whenever she said anything.
3. Lara Parker: She's always looked like a chipmunk to me, a pretty chipmunk with beautiful eyes, but a chipmunk.
4. KLS: She's good-lookin', but she still comes in 4th.
5. Nancy Barret: No explanation here
6. Joan Bennet: Maybe in a couple decades ill be able to better appreciate her beauty, which is, nevertheless, clearly there.
7. Clarice Blackburn: I'm willing to bet she was attractive not long before my parents were born
8. Grayson Hall: I'm sorry, but I just can't help seeing Michael Jackson.

Well, that's it.  Good night!
