  I'd like nothing more than to give copies of this CD away to everyone on the boards, but since we have over 500 cousins here, and since I'm a poor grad student, that could easily become quite problematic!  Nevertheless, if there's enough interest in the cd, I'll see what I can do about making it available to more people.

  Oh, and I apologize for the badly drawn album cover.  Obviously, I have the artistic skills of an orangutan, but hey I was amused by the concept.  If a fan artist wants to re-do it, I'd love to see a better rendition of "The Collinsport Stranglers!"

This is just like winning something on the radio!  If they announce your name you have 10 minutes to call.

When I was around 12, I won a WMCA Good Guys Sweatshirt.  I had the radio on, getting ready to go somewhere and I heard...."Connie McKechnie - you have 10 minutes to call and claim your Good Guys sweatshirt."  I freaked!  LOL.

Ah the Damned. They rock so.

 I sent the CDs out this morning.  Hope you like them!  My favorite tune on there is the Moon-Rays cover of the DS theme.  It's really cool.  If anyone can actually figure out the lyrics to the Oval Portrait song, let me know.  I used to be able to figure out punk rock lyrics with no problem, but I cannot figure out the words to this song for the life of me.  Must be a sign of age. Ack.

  Arashi, I'm a big fan of the Damned too.  The best concert I ever went to was a Damned show on Halloween.  It was awesome!

  Later on this Summer, I'll try to make this CD available to more folks at either a low price or for trades or something.  Also, if I find more DS-inspired songs, I'll do a Volume Two.  There must be a Quentin song somewhere.  Barnabas and Angelique have songs!  Quentin needs a song too!

I want a song for Julia.  It could sample Grayson's intoning "On your feet, or on your KNEES!" from her late Seventies commercial for Blue Oyster Cult--if the tape of that ever surfaces...

Another appropriate sample would be dialogue of the good Dr. reading Barn the riot act in one of those wacky '67 episodes.

I received the CD yesterday, thanks very much. A cool idea indeed.

I'm no fan of reggae or punk, so I don't care much for the Lone Ranger or the Oval Portrait. However, the rest of the tracks are great. I especially enjoy The Moon-Rays' "Dark Shadows Exotique"; being a shameless fan of tropical lounge lizard music, a la Martin Denny and Les Baxter, this one had me all the way. I also got a kick out of The Damned's "End of Time" and the Oneiroid Psychosis DS theme.

My favorite, I think, is Majenta Jets' "Angelique," which really captures everything about the character. Great vocal harmonies, too.

All in all, a really fun listening experience. I'm sure I'll be playing it a lot.

This CD is so cool!  Thank you very, very much.  I'm listening to it right now, and the called "Barnabas Collins" is great.  For those of you who did't get this, hopefully PennyDreadful can put it on the forum again, please get it.  It's awesome!
