Wow, Midnite, that scene of Grayson on the phone in the peignoir isn't on my tape of the episode! and you know what a fetish I have for any scene involving the Divine One and the Instrument...

that does indeed look like John Harkins in C & L...

Gothick, I love making you happy.  :D

Yes, it's John Harkins (Garth Blackwood, Horace Gladstone, Mr. Strack and Lt. Costa) in a recurring role as a drug dealer.

How incredibly rude of a station to dare to cut any of Grayson's scenes just so they can add more commercials.  >:(  Sadly, though, the practice of sacrificing content for the sake of adding more ad dollars seems to be escalating - and not only during local time. Long gone are the days when a primetime hour show actually consisted of 50 minutes of program and 10 minutres of ads. Nowadays programs are lucky to comprise 45 minutes of the hour.  ::)  (And according to a survey in Entertainment Weekly, The WB's shows regularly run only 42 minutes!  :o)

What's even worse is that some of the television series that are going to DVD are showing up in their syndicated format without any indication on the packaging, not in their original, unedited form.  :o

I missed John Karlen's appearance because...

KDOC TV in Southern Cal is starting Kojak eps over again beginning this week.  John Karlen's appearance in "Web of Death" will air this Friday, Oct. 7 at 11 a.m.  Check your cable listings for the channel # in your area.

If anyone cares, Harvey Keitel (who had the smallest part on DS for someone who went on to have a big career) will be in Thursday's "Siege of Terror".
