Did you upload them here or just hotlink them from your own site?

They're hotlinked...why do you ask?  :)

I knew about the attachment feature and hotlinking...so I was wondering if there was another way to store photos on this board.  I believe the attachments need to be small for space, right?  Hotlinking is great unless you remove the photo from your web and then it's no longer available where you posted it.  Can we attach a photo of any size as long as it's no larger than 100kb?  I know there are limits on the Caption This board, but what about elsewhere?

Hotlinkers graciously share their own bandwidth [thumb], so size isn't an issue in that regard, but we remind them on occasion that some users have difficulty loading multiple large images as opposed to smaller ones.

True, but linked images are subject to image protection whereas attachments aren't.

The system will not accept attachments larger than 100kb, but smaller images do, of course, take up less space on the server and use less of the Forums' bandwidth.  :D

Off-topic images (unrelated to DS, the forums, or the poster) should be stored elsewhere and linked.  OT attachments are subject to removal.

Ok, good information to know. Thanks.
