Quentin II had so many "forms" in the series - first he was a ghost, then we saw him as a normal human, then briefly as a mindless zombie, then as a cursed werewolf, and finally as an immortal.  I was just wondering, what's your favorite incarnation of Quentin?

I remember being spooked as a kid but I was surprised to have his ghost episodes scare me again when I saw them on the Sci-fi channel. :o

Good one PennyDreadful.

At first, I was going to vote as a ghost, because it was such fun. But it wasn't really acting per se, just glaring.

Then, I enjoyed his dilema as an immortal; he really did act with it as much as he was allowed.

But, ultimately I voted for that scoundrel, that cad, that QUENTIN the man!!!

For me, it's between Quentin the Man or Quentin the Immortal. Though I thought as a ghost he was appropriately frightening,  it wasn't until I saw him in the 1897 storyline that I realized why so many liked him.

Zombie Quentin would definitely be my least favorite, I know that much. :)

I loved watching Quentin as a man.  He was cruel, a cad, a downright evil man...but you know what?..ya had to like him, or dare I say, love him. [love7]

I voted for Zombie, it's the first Quentin I saw as a kid (in the gum cards and teen mags). I love the makeup and the portrayal. It's a sentimental choice.

Human Quentin would be my unsentimental choice. What a fabulous character and portrayl. Come to think of it, I liked all the Quentins, with present time Quentin at the bottom of the list.

I agree with you dom. Present time Quentin was just so boring! It's a shame the writers didn't come up with something better for him to do. Would have been absolutely great if at some point they had brought Petofi back. Or if gypsies had come looking to hold him responsible for the loss of the hand so long ago.... something other than occasional possessie and Barnabas sidekick.

I voted for Quentin as a human. Quentin as a ghost is a close second though. David Selby was so fun to watch in all the different troubles he got himself into as a human character. He seemed invincible as a ghost.

I also agree that the writers wasted a great character when he was immortal. He could have been really interesting! But no, they just wasted him.

Decisions, decisions.

I don't recall much from the original run (boo hoo), but I do remember seeing Quentin the ghost's scary face when he first appeared to David and Amy.

Zombie Quentin seems like an excuse to rip off "I Walked With a Zombie."

His introspection after he's cursed is heart wrenching.  Every step in his personal growth feels believable.

Hero Quentin is dullsville compared to all of these, except when he lost in sanity in the 1999.

We first meet Quentin the cad during the exciting first 2 weeks (as they originally aired) of 1897.  The cast is revitalized, each character introduced seeming more sinister than the last.   And the lines are at their sharpest--  Quentin to Beth:  "Women are notoriously open to my charms."  Quentin to Edward, after Judith informs them that her motivation for taking care of their Grandmama was love:  "I think I'm going to cry."  Yep, sarcastic Quentin is my favorite.
