when elizabeth had something serious to say to someone she closed the drawing room doors behind her and leaned against them with her hands on the doorknobs.

this gesture meant "liz means business".

Angelique constantly flutters her eyelashes when she's talking, especially when she's making some impassioned plea to Barnabas.

Nancy Barrett (and all of her characters) sticks out her tongue a lot.

Thayer David's characters (e.g. Prof. Stokes and Count Petofi) often stand Napoleon style (with his arm bent and a hand pressed to his stomach.)

Vicki pulling at her charm bracelet.  (Alexandra Moltke said she had a St. Christopher medal on it, and whenever she got nervous, fearing she'll especially miss or flub a line, she would tug at it.)

Willie Loomis would rub the back of his neck with one hand whenever he was trying to reason/argue/plead with Barnabas.

"I'll make tea."

"I'll have Mrs. Johnson make tea."

taking a page out of the Diana Millay "how to be a DS evil chick" guide, no doubt.  Her constant blinking drove me nuts during the Phoenix storyline.

Maggie nervously clutching at her hair especially during the time of her ordeal with the Vampire.
Whenever the going got tough for Roger, he'd pour himself a brandy.

It's so cute how they always say "I MUST" or "You MUST."  A couple of fans and I talked about that during the Festival last year.  You hear that line on DS but I never hear that in what is rather hysterically called "real life."

Maggie's touching her face, ie hand over mouth, hands against cheeks and/or temples. Nervous Nellie.

Liz's dead-pan face occassionally, when she was talking down to someone.

Mrs. Johnson's hand waving, "Oh no, I'm not having any part of that, oh no!"
