David Hurst

MeTV has changed its lineup and added some new (to them) detective/police shows.  On Mannix tonight I was checking out the cast.  One who looked familiar was named David Hurst.  I looked him up to see what else he had been in and was quite startled to see DS!!  It turned out that he was in 3 episodes as Justin Collins (and ghost of).  It's been a long time since I've seen it, but I could sort of picture him as that.

I just looked him up on Wikipedia and he had quite a career, before and after DS. Lots of tv and theatre and a wide range of movies. They run the gamut from The Boys From Brazil to Hello, Dolly. And Old Mother Riley Meets the Vampire, opposite Bela Lugosi, no less! Hurst is still alive, though he retired from acting some years ago. He returned to Germany, his native country.

Back in November, when Gothick posted about Denise Nickerson appearing in the '78 TV-movie Child of Glass, I posted that Hurst is also in it. Like you say, Uncle Roger, he can pop up almost anywhere...
