 [pointing-up]  Wow - even after watching a YouTube video of Jay and the Americans performing it, I still have no memory of that song. And it was obviously a hit because in the intro it's said that the song was #7. I have no idea how I could forget a song that was that popular because obviously it had to be all over the radio and I was way into listening to the radio in '65 when the song came out!

But all that aside, picturing Gerard singing it is too funny!!  [rofl10]  [thumbright]

I remember listening to the song on the radio quite a bit and watching them on Hullabaloo or American Bandstand. The band probably made more of an impact on me because of the name.

(I definitely remember Jay and the Americans - it's just that for some strange reason I have no memory whatsoever of that song! Weird...)
