Not completely impossible, seeing as Dennis Parker/Wade Nichols would be showing up on Edge of Night in the not too distant future.

([pointing-up]  Totally true!!  [nodassent])

(I'll never forget when Premiere Magazine mistakenly identified Joel Crothers as Wade Nichols! What a stir that caused in fandom!!  [wow])

Guilt by association, I guess. More recently, but a bit before the internet became so vast, an actor with some porn credentials was on Days of Our Lives for several months before anyone caught on. I don't remember the guy's name at the moment. Neither his real name nor his nom du porn.

The actor's real name is Jeff Griggs. He did several gay porn films in the 1980's under the names of Tony Erickson and Tony Sinatra, with such amusing titles as Laying Pipe. He was, as they say, a most gifted performer. He still works in mainstream vehicles like Criminal Minds and NCIS. But the most delicious piece of information that I found involves yet another aspect of his career. Griggs is also an artist. A portrait of George W. Bush that he painted came to Bush's attention and Griggs was invited to the White House.

([pointing-up]  Why do I suspect Bush knew nothing of his past, shall we say, career endeavors?  [ghost_nowink])

Guilt by association, I guess.

(I honestly think that the main reasons they confused Crothers with Parker was simply because they were both on EON, they both had mustaches, and the Premiere writer was too lazy to do the research to confirm who was who. Back then the latter didn't happen as much - though, of course, nowadays it's epidemic - especially on the Internet!)
