Thanks for supporting the first four polls, and here's another batch.  [santa_smiley]

I wanted to vote for William H. Loomis from 1970PT (in addition to the hilarious Carl and the sympathetic Willie) but I didn't see him listed. ???

OHMYGOD! How could I forget our dear friend Hollingshead?! He's one of my favorite JK characterizations too. But he's been added in now and I've zero'd out all the previous votes so that people can vote again and include him if they'd like.

John - please, Please, PLEASE forgive me!!

I also love the polls and voting for my favorites  [santa_grin] I liked all of JK's roles... although I did like Carl, Willie and Kendrick, in that order as favorites.   Carl Collins was such a fun loving soul, and when he laughed I laughed right along with him... I loved Carl's funny bone.  [santa_cheesy]  [santa_cheesy]  and his 'FIB' pistol.

John Karlen as Willie was one the greatest memorable soap characters of all time IMO. JK as Willie just had a special quality. I thought Carl was hilarious. [santa_cool]

I managed to narrow it down to three.  But, let's face it; I'd adore him in any role - then or now!    [santa_thumb]

I found this the hardest one to pick.  I would probably change my vote and then want to change it again.  [santa_cheesy]

I voted for Willie, Carl, and Desmond. They were different from each other in so many ways - Willie was so sympathetic and on edge at all times, Carl was a great practical joker, and Desmond was much stronger than both of them. I also liked Willie H. Loomis and Kendrick Young quite a bit.

John Karlen was great in all his roles - it's no surprise he won an Emmy award for "Cagney And Lacey."  And when Tyne (Lacey) Daly won a recent Emmy award (her 100th?!), she pointed out JK as her date during her acceptance speech - the cameras flashed to him sitting in the audience.
JK never phoned it in - he was always exciting to watch on DS.

I only voted for Willie Loomis. It was hard for me to watch JK as Kendrick (something) in the Bramwell story because he was so contained and borrring as Willie Loomis was so brilliantly played. What a seedy, conflicted, neurotic, pathetic, lethal character he was and Mr. Karlen's tremendous vitality, humour and talent made him unique.

John Karlen truly was superb in all the roles he took on within DS. But I've gotta say, Willie Loomis has to be my favorite. I think Carl would be a close second, though, but Willie I'll always hold close to my heart. I always felt so sorry for him. He felt irrevocable sorrow for having let loose on Collinsport and its people a plague they could never have imagined in their worst nightmares. No wonder he goes crazy for a while... No, wait. I take that back. He might have gotten out of Wyndcliffe, but I don't think his mind ever fully recovered. Poor guy. ~DJ

JK is Willie Loomis.  I feel so sorry for him.  [help]

Carl, well Carl was the "funster" of the Collin's. [wavey]

Desmond was the stronger of them.  I liked Desmond. [hello]
