Ben Marting from Roanoke, VA said:
" I wish you could have included the arrival of
Jonathan Frid as Barnabas Collins on Dark Shadows.
America fell in love with a vampire."

Included is a picture of our beloved blood sucker.

Is it just me, or does anyone else wonder if one of the "kids who ran home from school" was recently promoted to the editorial board at "TV Guide"?

Seems like every other week there's some reference to DS in there...!

It does seem that way doesn't it?
Maybe this will prompt another look at a New DS series.

Still hoping

i saw that letter too...and i agree that t.v. guide has been very "d.s.ish" of late.a mention every few weeks...not bad for a soap opera that left the air over 30 years ago. [blackbat]

Hey, guys, it's BEN MARTIN- you know, KLS' ex-husband and her Pomergranate Press partner!  (He's also a prize-winning photjournalist who took a LOT of pictures on the DS set back in the day)  I'm suprised no one picked up on this- as soon as I saw the letter in TV GUIDE, I laughed my ass off!  Leave it to a longtime insider to toot DS' horn, and for that I say, "Thanks, Ben!". No, it's not the DS Ben Martin - he's based elsewhere.  I guess it's a fairly common name :)

There was a question on Monday's Jeopardy.  I forget how it was worded, something about Chinese and 64 hexagrams.  Of course the response was "what is I Ching?"  But dummy me went blank and couldn't think of it!!

[santa_cheesy] Seems to me I remember Dark Shadows being a category at least once on Jeopardy. I definitely remember KLS's book being the high dollar question under the category of "Almanacs" as well as a question on Willie Loomis. I'm sure "The Farmer's Alamanac" was under the Alamanc category as well. Anyone else remember DS question son game shows?

[ChristmaS7]  I thought that Ben Martin had relocated to that part of the country , it seems too much of a cooincidence that it is not KLS' first husband.
