Since no one seems to have spotted it on their own, here's a hint: the mistake is in this section -

'Dark Shadows' jumps to color

Fact #9. "Dark Shadows was taped and

I think that's around the date when it was filmed; it wasn't aired until about 10 days, give or take, later.  I'm not sure on exactness.

Here's another attempt.  Didn't they have an episode in color initially (I think it was the one when Maggie walks into the Blue Whale after escaping from Wyndcliffe), and went back to black-and-white for a few more before the complete transition to color?

Oops, I didn't even catch that!  [ghost_embarrassed]  But in my defense, they misspell Barnabas and Jonathan so many times that my eyes probably just skip right by half the time by now.

Here's another shot, MB!  Does it have to do with the opening credits?  I mean, how the words "Dark Shadows" appear?

And I can understand how easy it was to make the mistake of saying "Joanathan Frid."  It's so easy to get him confused with Joan Collins.

Is it the time frame? Dark Shadows Wikipedia lists the taping date as July 31st and airing on August 11th.

(But unfortunately, IF the DS Wikipedia states or implies the ep that was broadcast on ABC on August 11, 1967 was in color, then their info is wrong, too.  [ghost_sad])

This is fun, MB!  Like Uncle Roger, I tried to guess it was when the episode was filmed as opposed to when it was aired.  You said that's close.  I'm still thinking it has to do with showing one episode in color and seeing how it went and then eventually to broadcasting all in color.
