Memories

It hasn't been that long since these episodes last aired and I did watch them. It isn't happening at all like I thought I remembered! I didn't remember Angelique trying to save Barney's life or trying to reverse the curse. The girl does have a quick temper, one little shot to the torso and she curses him forever! Ah well, the course of love never did run smooth....

One thing I can't help but notice is that for all Barney's talk about being better off with a stake in his heart, he never really means it. I always wondered, when he was chained in his coffin-would he have been awake and conscious each night? Now, that might explain his bad mood when Willie first freed him!

One good thing about senility, the show is always new and fresh to me! How you others can keep track of each detail is beyond me.  ?!?

and something that gets me.... with all her powers, why did she bother 'cursing' Barn in the first place?   I said before, she basically stood there and went 'Ouch!' when he shot her - she shoulda known that her powers would protect her.  Seems like she woulda said 'You little Bat-stard, It will take more than that to get rid o'me!' and the chase is on again [like on The Monkees]....... but then we wouldn't have the rest of the story [and Paul Harvey wouldn't have a career!]

Kuanyin,

I have also thought about this. If Barn is awake
every single night and no place to go, how did
he entertain himself mentally?

Its kinda of hard to read in a dark coffin when
you have no light. Its also kind of hard to
play trivia presuit all by yourself. Did he mentally
write a book - "The Story Of My Life And Just Look
How It Turned Out" and then "Understanding
Your Father" and least we forget "When A Woman
Is Loving You To Death"

Ok gang, what do you think? ::)

Personally I think Barnabas jumps through time. In other words, after being chained in the coffin in 1796, he "awakens" the next night (from his perspective) when Willie frees him in 1967. We've seen his ability to will himself back and forth through time, so perhaps he was simply able to will himself forward to whenever someone let him out. (Why he didn't will himself back in time I don't know.)

This would account for his ability to survive 175 years without blood.

Barnabas next jumps back in time to 1897 - even though the "linear world" has already experienced this time line it is new to him. He does not experience time in a linear fashion - he jumps from point to point.
