Barbara Steele on Decades' Night Gallery Binge
« on: May 22, 2016, 02:17:11 AM »
I see where Decades is doing a binge of Night Gallery this weekend and Barbara Steele's "THE SINS OF THE FATHERS" ep is on Suday at 3PM ET.

(Unfortunately, Grayson Hall's ep isn't part of the binge because the binge doesn't last long enough to get to it. But hey, one Julia is better than none. And even though Barbara Steele doesn't exactly have the biggest part in the ep, it's still well worth watching her. I'd actually watch her read from the phone book for 10 seconds.  [ghost_grin])

I remember that episode, MB.  John-Boy Walton played her son.  It was a very creepy one, especially with the shock ending.

She has a bigger part than I remembered, which was a nice surprise.

John-Boy Walton played her son.

Yes, Richard Thomas is also in the ep, but Geraldine Page plays his mother. BS is the widow of the deceased man.

Yes, that is quite the ending.

Whoops!  You're right, MB.  Geraldine Page, another classic actress, played Mommy Walton.  Ms. Steele played the widow of the dead man.    It's been years since I've seen the episode (on Sci-Fi when Sci-Fi was Sci-Fi and not SyFy).

I remember watching this episode when it first aired.  (But I don't remember the ending.)  And I always remembered Geraldine Page and Richard Thomas, but not Barbara Steele.  But then again, I had no idea who Barbara Steele was when I saw it.

This episode will be on again this morning at 4:30 (just over 2 hours from now) on MeTV.  And Lara's Kojak is on now.
