I received an Amazon GC from my sister. That, plus a couple of other GC + $$ Walt gave me, I went to Amazon; there was a new set for $301.
Score!

I know this isn't the exact forum, but, I've praised Amazon plus told people when things are going for sale on Amazon, I hope this post will be allowed:

Below is a copy of an email I'm 'trying' to send Amazon.
On Tues., Dec 22, 2015, I received a GC from my sister.
This gave me enough (with other GC & money) to buy something I've wanted for years.
I saw it for $301.xx, put it in my cart, then started the long, arduous 'chat' feature; I did this because of (3) GC + bank account.
I was on the 'chat' for at least an hour + 1/2; finally, I clicked on the 'call'.
Immediately my telephone rang. I re-told about the above.
Your rep was very nice. He explained a couple of things. I told him since now I knew how much I needed to put in my checking account, I would. (BTW, believe 2 of my GC were currently applied to the one item in my cart.)
I asked him if he would please call me back at 2:30 est. I made sure he had both my home & cell numbers.
As soon as I returned from the banks (this was 20 minutes tops), I looked at my account, and the item had been deleted from my cart.
Now, it wasn't available anymore...the only one I could have was 250+ MORE.
The rep didn't call me back, so, I waited for a few and tried calling him. The rep who answered said he hadn't logged back on....she could send him an email.
Well, it's currently 4:21 est, no DVD set, no call.
Can you imagine how I feel? Since 10:30 this morning, just trying to buy an expensive gift.
I could tell you that two years ago, I had bought (2) Lumia 520s on a Tuesday, I saw them for approx. $20 less on Saturday; I called Amazon and they easily refunded the difference.
I went immediately to Face Book to praise Amazon.
The item was in my cart for $301. Part of it was paid; the other 2 GCs were being applied.
The rep assured me the item would NOT be taken out of my account because of the partial payment plus an Amazon rep would be able to see the other two going on.
Thank God for Social Media.
You stink. Your service this year specifically has plumetted. I'll make sure EVERYONE knows....
