It's an anthology film. Those were quite popular back then. I caught a midnight screening back in college. The audience was somewhat upset that the house actually did not drip blood. Or much of anything else.

(The dripping blood part is more of a metaphor because the film deals with the strange deaths that happen in the house.)

Of course, if people want to see a house that actually drips blood, then they should see the Depp/DS film.  [nodassent]  And conveniently the slideshow for that film is currently in that section of the film...
