HELP...and more HELP

First, I tried to change the background pics on my computer.

Now, ALL the stuff is BLACK.....I never had 'bottom' things?, now I do, and, they're black.
Links, a keyboard icon, Patti Feinberg, this PC, Libraries, and lastly Network.

How do I a) get rid of these, and, how do I not be black (above, the add bar, lime green letters ON BLACK spelling www.dsboards . com/ blah blah.


SECOND...both mine & my daughters Lumia 635 front screens have been CRACKED, as in not use-able. Online, they have different prices; most info says don't install yourself. I called AT&T, they're not allow to install.

Anyone have any pragmatic suggestionS?

I'm sure you have thought of this, but have you tried phoning Best Buy?

I work in Cambridge, Mass, which is a major epicenter of computer geek culture in the Northeast, and there are a couple of shops here that fix cracked screens.  I imagine that simply remove the cracked pieces and replace with the correct new screen.

I don't know where you live but you could try googling "cracked screen" and your town and state name.
