Good lord--someone help that boy quick!  LOL  I get a kick out of all the characters expressions in these montages...makes ya think.  ;)

And in the upper right hand corner, poor Barnabas looks confused (or something - LOL). Julia better take him back to the Old House for a little chat...and more.   ;)  :D  ;D

yea Joe never seemed the same after Bill Malloy took a skip and a jump off of Widows Hill.  Maybe it was the pressure Joe felt at the Cannery or something ::)

Only Laura knows the truth regarding Davids paternity, and i am sure she remembers the back seat of that car Roger crashed.

I believe Sam Hall planned a storyline where Joe and Maggie did get together again when they found one another at Wyndcliffe.

I guess poor Sebastian Shaw got told by Maggie:  "take your love beads, your patchouli, your tie-dye and your go-go boots and BEAT IT!"  (thinking of the character FINALLY getting her mojo back).

Maggie was such a great character in the early days. Her "courtship" of Joe is a treat to watch--those "cat and canary" expressions of hers!

Only in fan fiction.

I forgot to mention that Sam Hall did have them marrying, though not in the sanitarium, in his 1971 TV Guide article.  Here's the excerpt from "Here's What Really Happened to Barnabas & Co." that concerns Maggie and Joe:

Maggie Evans, who left Collinwood with Philip***, returned a year later a divorced woman. She moved into her father's cottage and began working at Wyndcliff, the private sanitarium. There she remet her former fiance, Joe Haskell. With her help, Joe managed to regain his sanity. He left the sanitarium with no memory of Angelique and the circumstances which had caused him to lose his mind. Joe and Maggie married. He returned to the Collins' fishing fleet. They lived happily in Collinsport.

***that should say Sebastian Shaw

Are you familiar with the article, Shadowsfan?  It's on the last MPI tape-- with a few changes such as the one above-- but if anybody is interested in reading it I'm sure it can be found online.

Thankyou for the info Midnite ...  I never bought the entire DS collection on VHS...but am making sure to have the complete DVD set :) I'm guessing if DS had stayed on we might have seen a new Maggie and Joe..but didn't Jonathan want to leave the series even before it was cancelled?

Okay guys; True Confessions time; I've never seen what happens to Joe (I kinda thought he died).

I just checked with my DS expert and he says that Joe and Maggie got married and remained in Collinsport.  In addition he mentioned that Adam became a successful businessman with the help of Prof Stokes.
