I guess this is a good opportunity for her, but I would really like to see her given some serious, well-crafted material.  This sounds as if it will be another of Burton's exercises in horror-farce with clown makeup and googly FX.

At least one may presume the pay will be good.

It certainly will be interesting to see what the film will turn out to be like. Though Burton's latest film, Big Eyes, actually sounds like it might be a serious take on its subject. I suppose we'll see...

I'm with you on this...

with the runaway success of 'penny dreadful' and a handful of Burton films under her belt my concern is that Green might be typecasting herself right into the 'horror/fantasy/sci-fi genre'.

headlining 'comic con' is nice but it can be quite limiting (as many DS actors can attest). she might want to expand her range before she's stuck. she's quite a good actress and it would be nice to see her in more serious fare.
