A DS Christmas Greeting for 2003
« on: December 21, 2003, 06:53:54 PM »
I've been working on this off and on for a few weeks to wish you all Happy Holidays DS style :D.  I'm still learning Flash so this didn't turn out exactly as I'd hoped :-[.  For one thing, I didn't have much luck optimizing it so it will take awhile to download - I added a zip file version if you would want to try that and see if it works any better offline.  Another problem was matching sound to my animation...you will notice a rather abrupt ending (which annoys me greatly  >:( ).

Anyway, I tweeked it a bit today and thought I'd better post or the holidays would be over!

Woo hoo  8) I think I fixed it! Try the above link again...

(Also, if anyone has a tip on how I can reduce the size of this file without screwing up the audio I would be extremely grateful for the tip - it's driving me nuts :P:)  Feel free to email me if you have a chance.)

Cute and clever!!  Thanks!

And I hope this won't antagonize MB TOO much, but with DSL it doesn't take long at all. :P

Thanks, Castlebee, I loved it.

Curious to know how you decided which characters you'd use? Your faves? Or were they the most appropriate you found for the project? What was your criteria? Just curious.

Happy Holidays,
dom

PS - I love it that you used black & white images of the characters. I always think of DS as a black & white production. It makes me nostalgic.

This was great Castlebee!  I loved seeing some of the characters with their Santa hats on too!  Thanks for sharing this,
I hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas also!!
