Hello, Dark Shadows Fan,

ShadowGram (SG), The Official Newsletter & News Source for Dark Shadows (DS), announces the following key breaking news in this Official DS News Online Update "bulletin."

*** UPDATING: DAVID SELBY & SUSAN SULLIVAN IN CLASSIC PLAY
*** KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT IN UPCOMING TV MOVIE
*** LARA PARKER, KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT, SHARON SMYTH – PERSONAL APPEARANCES

*** DAVID SELBY & SUSAN SULLIVAN STAGE PLAY: OPENING DATE CHANGE

SG Update # 313 (3-23-14) announced David (Quentin) and Susan (Ghost) star in a production of Edward Albee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “A Delicate Balance” at Los Angeles’ Odyssey Theatre.

David’s wife Chip tells SG: “The opening is now on May 3 and previews start next Wed.”, Apr. 30, plus May 1 & 2. The play still is scheduled to run through June 15.

Chip reports that David and Susan may be interviewed on Los Angeles-area TV – probably a morning show – in the week ahead. SG Online Updates will announce any confirmed information. There likely will be other LA-area media coverage on-air, in print and online.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm, and on select Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8pm.

The Odyssey Theatre is offering an opportunity to win tickets to the play. To enter, send an email with the subject of “ALBEE” to boxoffice@odysseytheatre.com.

Tickets start at $30.
Order online:  boxoffice@odysseytheatre.co    Order by phone:  (310) 477-2055 – ext. 2

The Odyssey Theatre is located at 2055 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90025. (310) 477-2055.

The theatre is right off the 405 (San Diego) Freeway in West LA. The freeway is being widened and repaired, so there can be periodic closures, detours, and traffic congestion through the construction zone. Please check GPS, on-air and online traffic report sources.

Theatre publicity: “Empty nesters Agnes (Susan) and Tobias (David) share their upper middle class suburban home with their permanent houseguest - Agnes' tartly entertaining and perpetually soused sister, Claire. The household's precarious equilibrium is disrupted one evening by the appearance of lifelong family friends Harry and Edna, who are seeking refuge from an unnamed terror. When daughter Julia returns home in the throes of the breakup of her fourth marriage, she finds her room occupied by Harry and Edna, who refuse to leave.

“A caustically funny and moving exploration of the bonds of friendship and family in a threatening world, (the play) is considered by many to be Albee’s 's most challenging work…. It is stylish, daring and profoundly touching - full of memorable Albee bits, bountiful bursts of colorful invective and lacerating repartee.”
Susan and David had no DS scenes together but starred – eventually as husband and wife – in the 1981-90 primetime series “Falcon Crest.” Their only other joint performance was the classic 2-character play “Love Letters” 10-10-2003, benefiting the historic Apollo Theatre and Main Street area in Martinsburg, WV. They’ve remained good friends since their “Falcon Crest” days.
