We Love You David...

How I will miss David Collins.

Having a youngin' then an adolescent on the show REALLY made an impact; I don't remember much about 'soaps' from back then, but IIRC, children were to be seen & not heard.

David, oh David...murderer wannabe (Dad), pawn, thief, liar...

We love you...REALLY wish he were still acting now....

I will also miss David Collins, his charming smile :D, David's well versed excuses for getting out of trouble  8),
also that playful way David would twist Amy's arm when she didn't want to play the game >:D...
David was an excellent actor.  ;)

:'( This thread sounds a little morbid -- but I guess that's befitting!

 ;) David Henesy lives on!

:D But, as for the dearly departed David/Daniel/Jamison/Tad, I like how he went up.  He sometimes looked right into the camera and smiled.  That was very cool and I'm glad they let those air.

;D Still, when he was good, he was very, very good.  Think about his great portrayal of Count Petofi.  He really did Thayer's Petofi much better that Selby did.  When Jamison became Petofi, you knew it -- he had the voice & mannerisms exact (I'm sure Thayer helped).  He also had to turn that character off and play Jamison instantly (for Madga) then go back to Petofi (for Aristede).  Later, he had to play David Collins of the future, in a delirium; and, he sounded like David, not Jamison!  During this part of the storyline (late 1897), he was, without a doubt, the best juvenile actor on daytime TV.

B 8) TW, did you notice that Count Petofi was played by three "Davids?" -- Thayer, Henesy, & Selby!

Put me on the list of people who think David H. was one of the finest child actors I have ever seen.  He ran rings around all the other child actors of the time.

I agree ;D Count me in His Fan Club. I wonder just how good and what heights he might have reached if he had decided to continue his acting. Our Loss indeed! But, I can't help but admire someone who has become a success in different careers (acting, restaurants, and hotel management)

David was always first among my favorite child actors on the show....loved all his roles but my personal favorite will always be David, maybe because I witnessed him growing up on the show.

Do wish we could have seen more of him as Tad during the 1840 storyline, especially during
the Quentin/Samantha/Gerard triangle and his father's witchcraft trial.
Seeing Tad's reactions to all this I think would have created even greater drama.

Wow. I'm in the minority. I want to throttle the little brat every time he's on screen. My finger twitches above the FF button whenever he shows up.
