Johnny Depp Wears "Chick's" Engagement Ring, Confirms Rumors!

It would have been so much more interesting (and eccentric) had they exchanged Barnabas rings!!

Johnny really has a love of older time periods, especially the 30's or so.  On top of that, he was born in Kentucky and has some of that Southern influence from his relatives. He's a very modern guy (rock guitar player, lots of tattoos, ripped jeans) but often sneaks in certain slang words that we don't really hear any more.  He has called Elizabeth Taylor a "broad", and he often greets a woman as "doll".  Maybe it's just because I'm used to it from being a fan and hearing him speak a lot, but I don't take these words as insults-- I think they're his way of using an endearment.  I really don't think he means any harm.

Other than the materialism of how much that ring must've cost     I'm kinda tickled that he'd wear something like that. His relationship with Amber is still pretty new to me, and he's usually so private that I am surprised (and kind of happy, actually) that he was so open about it during his China visit.

MB, maybe Amber will get that Barnabas ring, yet!     (Or possibly one of his many skull rings that he wears).
